PA2023 Briefing Webinar and Note for Finance Leaders

Back To Knowledge Hub

NWUPC Members are invited to an LUPC led online session for Finance Leaders on the Procurement Act 2023 on the 12th February 2025.

Background
The Procurement Act 2023 (PA2023) comes into place on the 24th February 2025. A document has been produced, PA2023 Briefing Note for Finance Leads as a high level summary of the key points of the Act.

  • Who is this webinar for?
This session is aimed at Senior Officers and Finance Leads. Heads of Procurement are very welcome too and we recommend that anyone in a Procurement role forward this communication to their Finance lead. Highly relevant to contracting authorities, it could also be of interest to non-contracting authorities, including those who have opted out of the regulations, as adherence to the Public Procurement regulations may be required when undertaking procurements under grants/research funding.
  • What will the webinar cover?
We will be sharing information about the new procurement regulations and its significant impact on procurement teams and their institutions.

We will address:

  • Impacts on Resources (financial/institutional)
  • Governance
  • Compliance
  • Process

The high-level overview of the Act and its implications on institutions will be followed by an interactive Q&A session.

When – 12th February 2025 – 12.00-13.30.

Where – Online – register here by the 11th February.
