National Category Groups Insight Documents July 2026

Back To Knowledge Hub

Building on the Success of Market Insights

One of the National Category Groups’ most successful initiatives has been our Market Insight Document. Over the years, it has developed into a valuable source of information, helping members understand supplier markets, emerging trends and wider factors influencing procurement decisions across higher education.

As the publication has evolved, we’re looking at a new approach which will provide members with more focused, timely and relevant intelligence across our four key national category areas. We have now changed the format from 1 single document into 4 specialist Insight documents covering 4 key areas. Each National Category Group will take ownership of content within their specialist area, ensuring members receive practical insight, market news and emerging opportunities that support informed decision-making.

Our new UKUPC Insights – 4 key categories

  • ICT (Information & Communication Technology)
  • Estates & Facilities
  • STEMED (Laboratories)
  • Corporate (Professional services, office solutions and corporate support services)
