NWUPC MEMBER COMMUNITY
Our members have access to joining strategic, national and category specific procurement communities to share knowledge, shape the activity of our organisation for their mutual benefit.
We are led by our Strategic Groups who consist of senior procurement professionals within each of our member insitutions. They are supported by our Category Groups who focus on specific areas of procurement and include procurement as well as operational and technical staff.

NATIONAL CATEGORY GROUPS
Across the HE Sector there are established Category Groups that operate at a national level, managed by UKUPC. Our Category Managers participate in these groups as do their counterparts in the partner consortia. The groups primary goal is to manage the strategy and the framework agreements within that specific area of spend as well as promoting knowledge sharing and best practise. Our members can get involved by expressing your interest to your institution’s Head of Procurement.

NATIONAL WORKING PARTIES
Several of our strategic framework agreements have established groups called “National Working Parties” consisting of members across the HE sector and UKUPC Category Managers. These Working Parties will meet regularly to develop the strategy and tender documents as well as being part of the tender process for renewal of the agreements. Members will also participate in contract management during the life of the framework. Our members can get involved by expressing interest to their Head of Procurement and can contribute as much or little in your spare time to your discretion.
NATIONAL USER GROUPS
Where there is commonality in the use of systems, we offer members the opportunity to meet and discuss updates to these systems, share new requirements and resolve service issues. We work with systems providers and members to facilitate discussions in user group sessions.
