Removals and Relocations Services Framework is now live!
The NWUPC Team are pleased to announce the launch of the new Removals and Relocations Services Framework to NWUPC members. The framework provides members with a fully compliant, efficient, and flexible solution for a wide range of commercial relocation needs.

Scope of Services Includes:
- Bespoke solutions from single “man & van” jobs to complex multi-phase relocations
- Full/part relocations & internal moves
- Packing, storage, and crate supply
- Specialist art and archive moves
- Move management and planning
- Secure disposal of materials
The agreement will run from the 1st May 2025 to the 30th of April 2029. The framework is open to members of: NWUPC, APUC, HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC and SUPC.
Framework Structure – 5 Lots Covering All Requirements:
- Lot 1 – General Commercial Removals – Office furniture, files, equipment. May include packing/unpacking and off-site storage.
- Lot 2 – Specialist Commercial Removals – High-value items (e.g. IT, lab equipment, artefacts, library collections), with tailored handling and storage options.
- Lot 3 – Crate Hire/Purchase & Packaging – Supply of crates, containers, and associated packing products.
- Lot 4 – Domestic-Style Removals – Employee and student moves within the UK; porter services for campus moves.
- Lot 5 – International Moves – End-to-end international relocations (excludes staff relocation), including customs support and specialist transport.

How do I buy from the framework?
Call off from the Framework Agreement is by means of either direct award or further competition.
- Direct award options – business case method, or ranked method.
- Further competition options – desktop calculator method, or competitive quotation method, or mini-tender method
How has Responsible Procurement been considered as part of the tender?
Responsible Procurement/Social Value was given an 18% weighting in the evaluation with Suppliers asked questions related to the themes:
- Improving Health and Wellbeing – Demonstrate action to support the health and wellbeing, including physical and mental health, in the contract workforce.
- Tackling Workforce Inequality – Demonstrating action to identify and tackle inequality in employment, skills and pay in the contract workforce.
- Tackling Workforce Inequality – Demonstrating action to identify and manage the risks of modern slavery in the delivery of the contract, including in the supply chain.
- Effective Stewardship of the Environment – Delivering additional environmental benefits in the performance of the contract.
- Effective Stewardship of the Environment – Working towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
Members own/local requirements can be assessed at call-off.
