Waste Management Framework Agreement

Back To Knowledge Hub

LUPC is commencing work on the re-procurement of its Waste Management Framework Agreement and is seeking member input to help shape the scope and structure of the new agreement. (You can find the news article on the National Waste Management Services (sustainable) Framework here).

As part of the re-procurement, we are reviewing the existing waste management services and how members access them. The new framework will also incorporate IT Asset Disposal (ITAD) services, which are currently available through a separate IT Equipment Reuse, Recycling & Disposal framework arrangement.

We have developed a short member questionnaire to help us better understand:

    • how members currently procure and use waste management and ITAD services;
    • likely future requirements and demand across the different service areas;
    • views on the proposed scope and structure of the Framework;
    • experience of pricing and the information available when procuring waste services;
    • requirements for ITAD, including secure data destruction, reuse/refurbishment, asset value recovery and wider WEEE; and
    • any issues or improvements that should be considered when developing the new Framework.

Your feedback will be used alongside supplier market engagement to inform the procurement strategy, including the final Lot structure, service requirements, pricing approach and call-off arrangements.

We appreciate that you may not have detailed information available for every question. Please provide your best estimate where possible or select “Don’t know/Not sure” where this option is available.

Please complete the questionnaire by Friday the 23rd of October:

Member Engagement Questionnaire

We would welcome input from relevant colleagues such as Procurement, Estates/Facilities, Sustainability and IT/Digital teams as appropriate.

Thank you in advance for your input. Your feedback will help ensure that the new Framework reflects members’ requirements and provides practical and effective routes to market.

If you have any questions regarding the questionnaire or the re-procurement, please contact us at procurement@nwupc.ac.uk.
