Here’s what’s inside this exciting new issue:

NWUPC Responsible Procurement Updates, led by Sarah Dye, Head of Strategic Procurement at NWUPC and Chair of the UKUPC Responsible Procurement Network, highlight progress in aligning procurement with key strategic themes. New tools, upcoming resources and continued collaboration are supporting more consistent, informed and impactful decision-making across the sector.
Circular approaches to IT asset management are also highlighted. DTP Group is challenging traditional disposal models by extending the life of technology through reuse and remarketing, while recovering residual value and supporting institutions to align financial efficiency with sustainability goals.
Sustainability leadership is also a key focus. Extravaganza Promotional Merchandise is strengthening its environmental commitments through participation in the Climate Leadership & Action Programme, embedding measurable action, improving supply chain transparency and supporting clients to meet growing ESG and Net Zero expectations.
Integrating sustainability into institutional strategy is a growing priority. AAB highlights how aligning ESG reporting with existing governance and financial frameworks can streamline processes, strengthen decision-making and reduce administrative burden.
Reducing travel emissions has been on the agenda for universities and Key Travel highlights how practical steps, like integrating carbon data and prioritising lower-carbon options, can deliver measurable impact, improved reporting and cost efficiencies.
Together, these insights show a sector actively turning sustainability commitments into action — achieving better outcomes for people, budgets and the environment.
