The Microscopy and Imaging Equipment Framework is now live!

NWUPC are pleased to announce that the new  Microscopy and Imaging Equipment ( LAB1047 AP ) Framework ) is now live and available to members. . As part of the launch, members are invited to attend a webinar on Wednesday 23rd September to find out more about the framework and how it can support their microscopy and imaging requirements. Designed to support the evolving needs of research and teaching, this framework offers a comprehensive solution for the supply, servicing, maintenance, and repair of microscopes and imaging equipment. It also covers a wide range of related consumables and software for use across further and higher education institutions and other public sector bodies throughout the UK.

This framework will run for a three-year term from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2029 with extension options until 31st August 2030, subject to performance and member requirements. The framework is open to NWUPC, HEPCW, LUPC,APUC, NEUPC and SUPC members.

Launch Webinar: 

You can watch a launch webinar for the framework on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 at 10.00 – 10.45. You do not need to register and can watch the event at the link below. 

Lot Structure: 

The following lots are available to NWUPC members:

  • Lot 1: Optical Microscopes – Low-End (Teaching)
  •   Lot 2: Optical Microscopes – High-End (Research)
  •   Lot 3: High-throughput Systems
  •   Lot 4: Laser-based Imaging Systems and Laser Components
  •   Lot 5: Super Resolution and Enhanced Resolution Microscopes
  •   Lot 6: Detectors (including Cameras)
  •   Lot 7: Light Sources

This framework allows you to buy through:

Lot 1 Only:

  • Direct Award
  • Mini-Competition
  • Desktop Exercise

Lots 2-7:

  • Mini-Competition
  • Desktop Exercise
    You should choose the option most appropriate to your purchase taking into consideration; your
    Organisational Procurement Guidance and Financial Regulations, the product/service you wish to purchase and the specific requirements of your organisation.
