Preliminary Market Engagement Opportunity: High Value Laboratory Equipment Tender
NWUPC are undertaking preliminary market engagement for the renewal of the HE Sector Framework Agreement for HVLE accessed by NWUPC members and the members of the other participating regional consortia – APUC, HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC, and SUPC.
The forthcoming 2027 framework agreement includes the following proposed lot structure, though please note this is not yet finalised and is subject to change before tender publication:
- Lot 1 : Magnetic Resonance Equipment including Associated Equipment, Accessories, Consumables, Maintenance and Servicing of Equipment.
- Lot 2: X-Ray, Imaging, Elemental & Micro Analysis Equipment and Microscopy Instruments including Associated Equipment, Accessories, Consumables, Maintenance and Servicing of Equipment.
- Lot 3: Spectroscopy Equipment including Associated Equipment, Accessories, Consumables, Maintenance and Servicing of Equipment.
- Lot 4: Mechanical, Thermal and Physical Testing Equipment including Associated Equipment, Accessories, Consumables, Maintenance and Servicing of Equipment.
- Lot 5: Laser Equipment including Associated Equipment, Accessories, Consumables, Maintenance and Servicing of Equipment.
Lot 5 is a new area for the 2027 framework; at the request of APUC, it is our intention to incorporate the scope of the LAB1032 AP Lasers and Associated Equipment framework as a single new lot in the HVLE retender. If the incorporation goes ahead successfully, then LAB1032 AP would not be retendered when it expires in July 2027.
NWUPC are seeking the input of the market on several areas to help inform the structure of the Framework and the scope of requirements.
