NWUPC Supplier Audits: W & G Baird
This visit was a fantastic opportunity to see one of our Northern Ireland based suppliers. It was also part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen supplier relationships and see the expertise they bring and meeting high quality standards for our frameworks. This visit will be of particular interest to Members of the Office Category Group.
The visit took place at the end of November and focused on their print services and operations along with W & G Baird showcasing the customer journey processes from cradle to grave. This visit provided valuable insight into their expert print production capabilities from digital to litho-print technology and finishing services. We also gained a good insight into their approach to quality compliance, sustainability and health and safety management, along with its global distribution and logistics arrangements.
This gave us a better understanding of their onsite operations for print, company ethos and values, positive working environment and robust systems for closed-loop recycling and quality assurance.
Through this visit we are able to:
- Gain insight into the supplier’s print manufacturing capabilities and future ambitions
- Better understand the complexities in print production and share learning with members
- Strengthen working relationships and explore opportunities for further collaboration with the sector
