We’re pleased to announce the launch of the re-tendered Laboratory Gases and Associated Equipment Framework ( LAB4060 SU) to NWUPC members. Led by SUPC and tendered in conjunction with NWUPC, NEUPC, LUPC, HEPCW and APUC. The retendered framework provides a compliant and responsible route for universities to purchase a wide range of Laboratory Gases and associated products.

Offering a cost-effective procurement option across a broad range of Lots, this Framework brings together key market operators. The framework will run from 1st November 2025 to 31st October 2028 with a permissible extension through to October 2029 if invoked.

The framework is open to all NWUPC members, as well as those from the following consortia:  HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC, SUPC & APUC.

How do I call-off from the framework?

Call-off from this framework is by means of direct award (ranking) or further competition only.

How has sustainability, equality and diversity been considered as part of the tender?

Sustainability is of key concern across the HE sector and our suppliers are encouraged to operate and promote sustainable practices. Suppliers were evaluated in terms of their approach to:

• carbon reduction achievement and reporting
• commitments to promoting equality and diversity
• compliance with Conflict Minerals Regulation where applicable
