Air Purifier Units available through NWUPC Frameworks

With a large proportion of students and staff now back in the classroom and workplace having the correct ventilation is essential to stop the transmission of COVID-19. You can use air cleaning and filtration units to reduce airborne transmission of aerosols where it is not possible to maintain adequate ventilation.

As an NWUPC Member you have access to 2 frameworks in which the air purifier filtration units can either be bought outright or leased. With the sheer range and diversity of units that suppliers have we contacted all suppliers on the 2 below frameworks and asked for a shorter breakdown of units available and specifications to make the selection process easier.

The Department for Education said “In the very few cases where an area of poor ventilation has been identified and this cannot be resolved through opening windows and doors or minor repair works, it may be appropriate to consider the use of an air cleaning unit as an additional mitigation whilst further remedial work is undertaken to improve ventilation”.

Testing on the units includes:

  • clean air delivery rates
  • noise
  • filtration capability
  • technical certification
  • ease of use and maintenance

Below you can find links to PDF’s covering units and specifications available through these suppliers but for a full list of available suppliers and contact details you can go to HEContracts.

Purchase outright to own: White Goods and Associated Electrical Appliances
